To make decisions when hiring app developers, you must first understand what you’d like to see happen.

George, one of my favorite consulting clients, was the headmaster of a private K-12 school in Knoxville, Tennessee. On more than one occasion, he quoted his father, who was in the printing business for decades:

“You can have it fast. You can have it cheap. You can have it high-quality. Pick two.”

Development is no different. If you want high-quality work on a tight deadline, then you must pay a premium. If you want the work done quickly and cheaply, then the quality of the final product will probably suffer.

So you want to build an app, but you’re not sure of the best way to hire app developers.
